Boozing On A Budget? Check Out These Bottles Under RM250!

Source: Warakomski Fitness

Mankind has been enjoying alcohol since… pretty much forever. Don’t quote me on this, but I’m positive that cavemen were the first to discover alcohol. And when they did, you’d best believe that discovery was followed by a series of approving oohs and ahs.

Before I get too sidetracked with the history of alcohol, let’s focus on the world we live in today. It’s a fact that money makes the world go round (even if some people don’t think so). What I’m getting at here is that alcohol costs money, obviously.

That being said, not everybody has the luxury to spend hundreds, heck even thousands of their hard-earned cash on booze alone. We here at The Good Stuff understand that and have made it our mission to ensure that everybody gets to drink.

As a means of fulfilling this duty of ours, we’ve compiled a list of various spirits (which we’ve done before, but specifically on single malt whiskies) for you to choose from as we believe that people from all walks of life deserve a good drink every now and then.

The Good Stuff proudly presents 10 of our bottles under RM250:

Wine

Wine is something we haven’t really delved into here on The Good Stuff. That being said, we do in fact carry a fine selection of various wines. The two that made this list are the Terrazas Malbec and Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon.

The former being the most affordable item we have on our shop page while the latter is one of our latest additions to our inventory. Both wines are brilliant in their own right and are good choices if you’re into wines and looking to save a little.

Sake

Similar to wine, sake is another type of alcoholic beverage which we rarely talk about. I use the word rarely because we did make that one article regarding this delectable drink from the Land of the Rising Sun… which means Japan if you didn’t know.

Anyways, we’ve featured only one bottle of sake here (despite having more) because we (or me, the writer) researched which among the bottles we carry are the best and the Kubota “Junmai Daiginjo” seems to be the winner.

Gin

Boy oh boy, we love gin. Like, really really love gin. If you’ve been following us for some time you’d know this. Whoever made this delicious spirit deserves a gold medal in my opinion (although some would disagree).

With the rambling out the way, we’ve selected two gins – both of which are also new additions to our inventory. The first being Bottega Bacûr Dry Gin which has been recently growing in popularity due to its unique and distinctive flavour.

Our second selection is Bulldog Gin which apparently has a pretty large fanbase around the world. I’ve been told that both these gins go extremely well with a nice tonic.

Vodka

Oh, vodka. How can one love and loathe something at the same time? I ask myself that question every time somebody offers me a shot or glass of vodka. Needless to say, it’s a very popular spirit that can make for some excellent drinks and great moments.

We’ve featured two bottles of vodka on this list simply because… well, that’s all we’re selling (for now, at least). Either way, we’ve got Haku Vodka, a quaint Japanese vodka, and the much beloved Grey Goose on our list.

Whiskies

Aw man, here we go again. Just like gin, our love for whisky runs deep. Whether it be single malt scotch whiskies or blended whiskies, whisky will always have a special place in my heart, and I’m sure in many of yours too.

On that note, we’ve chosen one blended whisky and one single malt for the sake of diversity. For a blended whisky we chose the Kakubin, made by the legendary Suntory Distillery in Japan. Allegedly, it’s a pretty rare whisky to find (but we’ve got it).

In our single malt corner, we have an absolute fan favourite which is the Glenfiddich 12 Year Old. Whether you’re into single malts or not, this expression of Glenfiddich is guaranteed to satisfy your taste buds and give you an amazing drinking experience.

Bonus Pick

Yup, I couldn’t help myself. Plus we’ve only listed down 9 bottles so far and we all know that 10’s a much nicer and rounded number altogether. Right now, we have 2 wines, 1 sake, 2 gins, 2 vodkas and 2 whiskies on our list… I’m adding another whisky.

Didn’t I tell you earlier that we love our whiskies? Now this selection might count as cheating since the whole list is about bottles under RM250. This one sits right at RM250 but I swear to you it’ll be a worthy purchase should you choose to buy it.

The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve (FREE Miniature Version) – RM250

I had to include The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve simply because it’s an amazing whisky. If you’ve read our article on Glenlivet, you’d know that this expression is the closest tasting thing to the original Glenlivet whisky back in the 1800s.

This whisky is absolutely delicious and perfect for any occasion. Additionally, our bottle of The Founder’s Reserve comes with a free miniature bottle of itself for you to gift to your friends (or enjoy for yourself if you’d like).

And with that dear readers, our list is concluded. I hope this article helps you with choosing some affordable, high-quality alcohol while saving some money too.
